We are immensely proud of “Shadow.” He was bred off the ranch before his mother Soos came under our ownership, and we weren't sure exactly what to expect. In the early stages of his handling, he seemed quite flighty and a bit too excitable for our tastes, but when Jessie started him in the round pen in the summer of 2004, he settled down and simply devoured the opportunity to learn and work. The fella just needed a job! In the fall of 2004, he spent 60 days with a local cowboy learning the basics of roping, sorting, moving cattle, and being an all-round good ranch hand. He is now back on the ranch working and learning with the rest of the gang.
